Converge Discipleship Training School

Dates: TBA – Seeking DTS Staff Team

What’s the Converge DTS?

The Converge DTS, like all YWAM Discipleship Training School’s, is designed to encourage students in personal character development, cultivating their relationship with God and identifying their unique gifts and callings. Cross-cultural exposure and global awareness are special emphases throughout the course, preparing the students to evangelize and disciple current and future generations, answering the call to Go into all the world and teach (make disciples of) all nations. (Matthew 28:19).

A typical DTS begins with a 12-week lecture phase where students benefit from regular times of worship and intercession, small group and one-on-one discipleship, and challenging teachings from YWAM and ministry leaders from all over the world.  Then all participants are expected to go on an 8-12 week outreach phase to serve cross-culturally and apply what they’ve learned in practical, real-world settings.

What is unique about the Converge DTS?

The Converge DTS adds an internship component to the typical lecture and outreach phases.  Converge DTS students will be given opportunities to learn alongside local community and service-oriented business and ministry leaders working in the South Jersey area.  Students will develop life and work skills and will complete a collaborative project.  Students will also explore their personal sense of calling and may receive some college and career guidance to help them answer the question of “What’s Next?” after DTS.

Dates: TBA – Seeking DTS Staff Team

Lecture phase location is to be determined at a future date. The Converge DTS will include internships in the local community.  International outreach locations will be announced halfway through lecture phase.  Our first YWAM Ocean City DTS outreaches were to India, Albania, Ireland, Australia, and other locations in North and South America.
